The New Birth,
Being Born Again
The Bible speaks to us concerning the importance of being
born again.
This new birth is a miraculous work accomplished by the
Holy Spirit.
John 3:1-7
There was a man of the Pharisees, named
Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said
unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man
can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus
answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say
unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he
enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered,
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be
born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that
which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel
not that I said unto thee,
Ye must be born again.

Did you know that......
- God loves you and wants you to live with Him in heaven?
- John 3:16&17- "For God so loved the world, that
he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the
world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be
saved."
- 1 John 5:11&12- "And this is the record, that
God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that
hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not
life."

- The Bible teaches us that we are all sinners? Have you

- Rejecting God's plan of eternal salvation will keep you
out of heaven and condemn you to eternity in hell?
- Romans 6:23-"For the wages of sin is death; but
the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
- James 1:15-"...and sin, when it is finished,
bringeth forth death."
- John 5:40-"And ye will not come to me, that ye
might have life."
- John 3:18&19-"He that believeth on him is not
condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he
hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this
is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved
darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."

- Being honest, truthful, kind, loving, trying to keep the
Ten Commandments, being baptized, and even going to church will not get
you into heaven?
- Proverbs 14:12-"There is a way which seemeth
right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."
Isaiah 64:6-"But we are all as an unclean
thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do
fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."
- James 2:10-"For whosoever shall keep the whole
law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."

- You, like everyone else, will have to face a
judgment
day?
- Hebrews 9:27-"And as it is appointed unto men
once to die, but after this the judgment:"
- Revelation 20:12-15"And I saw the dead, small
and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book
was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of
those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell
delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man
according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of
fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in
the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

Did you know that......
- God loves you and has made the only way for you to get to
heaven through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ?
- Romans 5:8&9-"But God commendeth his love
toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much
more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from
wrath through him."
- Ephesians 2 8&9-"For by grace are ye saved
through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of
works, lest any man should boast."
- Acts 4:12-"Neither is there salvation in any
other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men,
whereby we must be saved."
- Romans 6:23-"For the wages of sin is death; but
the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
- Titus 3:5-7-"Not by works of
righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved

- You can go to heaven no matter how bad your sin is and no
matter what you have done?
- Matthew 9:13-"for I am not come to call the
righteous, but sinners to repentance."
- Luke 19:10-"For the Son of man is come to seek
and to save that which was lost."
- Isaiah 1:18-"Come now, and let us reason
together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be
as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as
wool."

- Jesus Christ died on the cross as the supreme sacrifice
for your sins, was buried, and rose again after three days, and it is
because of Him that we may be saved?
- John 3:14&15-"And as Moses lifted up the
serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal
life."
- Isaiah 53:4&5-"Surely he hath borne our griefs,
and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God,
and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised
for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with
his stripes we are healed."
- John 1:29-"The next day John seeth Jesus coming
unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin
of the world."

- God wants you to repent (be sorry and turn away) from
your sins?
- Mark 1:15-"... The time is fulfilled, and the
kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."
- Acts 3:19-"Repent ye therefore, and be
converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of
refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;"
- Acts 20:20&21-"And how I kept back nothing that
was profitable unto you, but have showed you, and have taught you
publicly, and from house to house, Testifying both to the Jews, and also
to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus
Christ."

- God wants you to believe and place all of your faith and
trust in Jesus Christ to save you?
- Acts 16:30&31-The Philippian jailer questioning
Paul and Silas: "Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said,
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy
house."
- Romans 10:9&10-"That if thou shalt confess with
thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation."
- Romans 10:13-"For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be saved."

- Being born again is essential to
salvation. The new
birth is what the Holy Spirit produces in the life of a person who truly
repents and places his or her faith in Jesus Christ under the conviction
and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
- John 3:5-8-"Jesus answered,
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be
born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of
God. That which is born of the flesh is
flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born
again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound
thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so
is every one that is born of the Spirit."
- II Corinthians 5:17-"Therefore if any man be in
Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all
things are become new."
- Galatians 6:14, 15-"But
God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus
Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor
uncircumcision, but a new creature."
You may be asking, "What can I do to show that I believe
and have faith?"
Trust that what God has said in his word about your
condition is true.
Call out to God in repentance from your sins, and
faith in Jesus Christ.
Dear Lord God, I know that I am a sinner. Please
forgive me for my sins. I believe that your Son the Lord Jesus
Christ died on the cross to pay for my sins, was buried, and rose
again on the third day. Please have mercy on me a sinner, and save
me from my sins.
Thank you Lord God. Amen.
If you have truly turned away from your
sins and placed your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to save you,
then you can be sure that you will
go to heaven!!
- John 14:1-3-"Let not your heart be troubled: ye
believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many
mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a
place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come
again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be
also.
- 1 John 5:13-"These things have I written unto
you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye
have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of
God."
- John 5:24-"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He
that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath
everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed
from death unto life."
- Hebrews 7:25-"Wherefore he is able also to save
them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth
to make intercession for them."
