Master of Theology Degree

The master of theology degree program provides for continuing study through the discipline of academic excellence. It aims to develop in the student an informed, critical approach to a chosen field of study through graduate courses, mastery of languages, and a thesis. 
66 semester hours of academic work including a 25,000 word thesis is required for the Master of Theology degree.

Admission requirements include:
  1. A First Degree in Theology:  Applicants must have a Bachelor of Divinity, Master of Arts, or Master of Divinity degree (or equivalent) from an acceptable theological school.

  2. Acceptable Grade Point Average:  Applicants must have a grade point average of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale for the first degree in theology.

  3. Application Form:  Application forms are available on request from the Office of Graduate Theological Education at Trinity Baptist Seminary.

  4. Transcripts:  Official transcripts of college and seminary work must be sent directly from the schools to Trinity Baptist Seminary.

  5. Recommendations:  Three letters of academic recommendation are to be sent directly to Trinity.  If an applicant comes from a school that does not give letter grades or uses some form of pass/fail system, five letters of recommendation regarding academic performance and potential are required from professors with whom the applicant has studied.

  6. Application Fee:  A fee of $25.00 must accompany the application. The fee is not refundable.
