graduate program of Trinity Baptist Seminary requires
a Bachelors degree
with at least 120 semester hours of credit or equivalent.

Master of Arts
in Biblical Studies (click for details)
The Master of Arts
in Biblical Studies (MABS) is designed to offer ministry training for those
persons who have an undergraduate degree in Bible, but seeks advanced
training in the area of Biblical studies and exposition.
In addition, this
program also designed for persons with a secular undergraduate degree and
are not preparing for a professional ministry vocation. This track is
designed to provide biblical, theological, historical, and practical
training to those persons who desire to be better equipped to do ministry in
the local church.
36 semester hours of academic work is required for the M.A. in Biblical
Studies
A thesis is not required for the M.A. degree

Master of Theology

The master of theology degree program provides for continuing study
through the discipline of academic excellence. It aims to develop in the
student an informed, critical approach to a chosen field of study through
graduate courses, mastery of languages, and a thesis.
66 semester hours of academic work including a 25,000 word thesis is
required for the Master of Theology degree

Master of Divinity
This degree is
primarily designed to prepare men who are called to serve in the office of
pastor in local congregations. A balance of biblical, theological, and
ministry courses makes this a broad program of pastoral training, allowing
for exposure to a range of knowledge and skills needed. The Master of Divinity program is designed for the man
with a secular undergraduate degree who now believes that God has called him
into the ministry.
The Master of Divinity program requires 96 credit hours of
study above the Bachelor level. Individual requirements vary depending on
the applicant's previous education, degrees, and ministry experience.

Post Graduate Program
Entrance into the post graduate program at Trinity
requires a Masters degree with at least 64 semester hours of academic credit
or equivalent |

Doctor of
Philosophy
A Ph.D. can be
earned with a major in Biblical Studies, Biblical Counseling, or Theological
Studies. 48 semester hours of academic work is required for the Ph.D. The 42
hours of course work includes the following: 39 hours of academics, 3 hours
for the dissertation proposal, and 6 hours for the 50,000 word dissertation |
| Doctor of
Ministry - Expository Preaching
The Doctor of Ministry degree with emphasis in Expository
Preaching is designed to equip pastors and other church leaders in the
skills of sermon preparation and public exposition of Scripture. This
program of study will meet the needs of those persons who want to engage in
the classical disciplines of biblical interpretation, theological
reflection, and sermon preparation. It is intended for ministry
professionals who desire further education but who simultaneously wish to
remain on the field of service where God has placed them.
Length of Time Allowed.
Students in the program are expected to pursue their degree concurrently
with full-time vocational involvement in ministry. Students should allow at
least three years to complete their program but should take no more than
four years to do so. Under no circumstances shall a student extend the time
of completion beyond six years.
Curriculum Plan (50 hrs). The
program of study consists of two areas:
- Academic Studies (42 hrs).
Research courses designed broaden the pastor's knowledge of ministry and
Biblical exposition.
- Ministry Research Project (8 hrs).
The ministry research project is the culmination of the program of study.
Through the project, the student has opportunity to apply professional
knowledge and documented research into the context of ministry.
